Pablo Rivas | CEO de Global Alumni

Pablo Rivas talks to ABC about digital talent gap penalizing the Spanish economy.

The Covid-19 pandemic has not only disrupted the foundations of healthcare, but also the current labor market. With the current economic migration toward digitalization, employers are demanding new skills and knowledge from their employees; talent that is proving difficult to find.

Global Alumni CEO Pablo Rivas, in an interview with Spanish newspaper ABC, reinforced the importance of lifelong learning, particularly during a societal moment like today’s, in which we are steering from an analog economy (representing 81% of Spanish GDP) to a digital one (19%).

On one hand, according to Rivas, professionals need to upskill through programs offering small “capsules” of knowledge to improve employability, while on the other hand “reskilling” to help them to shift from one role to another.
